REINHOLDS, Pa., Nov. 26, 2024 — Reinholds Fire Company today formally accepted a grant in the amount of $15,000 from Energy Transfer, which aided in the purchase of durable roofing material for the department’s fire station.
Energy Transfer is one of the largest and most diversified energy logistics companies in the country, with approximately 3,000 miles of pipeline infrastructure and gathering systems located in Pennsylvania.
“This grant from Energy Transfer will contribute to the replacement of our fire station’s rubber roof membrane after 27 years of service,” said Reinholds Fire Chief Mike Youndt. “Helping us replace our roof is a significant help to us – and it also helps us offset the cost of purchasing and replacing personal protective equipment for our members. We are grateful for this grant and for Energy Transfer’s ongoing support.”
The $15,000 grant will assist in the purchase of a new EPDM membrane roof, which is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roof. Reinholds Fire Company also received an $11,450 First Responder Fund grant from Energy Transfer in 2016.
“It is our honor at Energy Transfer to support our local first responders through trainings and grants like this one, which make a direct impact on the safety of the men and women responding to emergencies,” said Josh Snyder, Lead Specialist, Public Affairs at Energy Transfer. “We look forward to partnering with Reinholds for many years to come.”
The Energy Transfer First Responder Fund provides grants to help further the primary mission of first responder organizations, including local fire departments; emergency medical services; county emergency management agencies; county, regional and local police departments; and other eligible agencies. Grants are determined based on a competitive application and review process, and written applications are accepted on a rolling basis for the following cycle.
